CUP Approved, Appointment Made, Roadwork Bid Packet Passed
The Commission of the Unified Government of Cusseta-Chattahoochee County heard from their attorney about the possibility of an additional local sales tax, approved a conditional use permit, made an appointment to a local board, approved plans for roadwork, and discussed other items during its recent regular monthly meeting.
The attorney discussed the new, and sometimes confusing, Georgia House Bill 581, as well as changes that state legislators have already made to the new law. In general, the law limits increases in taxable home values to the prior year's inflation rate.
