The Commission of the Unified Government of Cusseta-Chattahoochee County covered a variety of topics during its recent meeting, including roadwork, a new fishing dock, and continued hopes to secure funding for a county sewage system.
The commissioners gave the okay to ask for bids to resurface all of Riverbend Road, as well as the park and boat parking area.
They are also asking for bids to resurface Liberty Hill Road and Friendship Road.
County Manager Thomas Weaver said these road projects are 100% funded through a combination of funds from the local sales tax and the regional transportation sales tax (no property tax revenue included).
