Jernigan Inducted into SGBI Hall of Fame

Longtime Marion County resident Judge Wayne Jernigan received a special honor recently. He was inducted into the Santa Gertrudis Breeders International Hall of Fame during the 75^th SGBI Annual Meeting held in Kingsville, Texas.
The region of Texas was described as the birthplace of the Santa Gertudis breed and Wayne Jernigan, Sr. was described as one of the legendary cattlemen who have sustained it.
Wes McDaniel, Director of SGBI, who gave a speech introducing the judge as an inductee, said Jernigan embodies the standard of excellence.
