Marion, Chatt, Stewart are Delinquent with State Audits

 Counties are Currently Ineligible for State Grant Funds
  County governments in Georgia rely on state grants in a significant way. However, to be eligible to receive those funds, they must have financial audits approved by the state annually.
 This has become an issue with several County Commissions in our area. According to the Georgia Department of Audits and Accounts (DOAA), Marion County, Cusseta-Chattahoochee County, and Stewart County are all currently ineligible for state grant funds because their audits for Fiscal Year 2024 are delinquent. Their 2025 audits also haven't been approved but they still have some time before that becomes an issue.
