The Marion County Commission is now once again eligible to receive state grants, according to the Georgia Department of Audits and Accounts (DOAA).
The Journal reported earlier this month that the Marion County Commission was one of several local governments in the region that was not eligible due to not having an approved audit for Fiscal Year 2024. Now, DOAA shows that the county's audit was 325 days late and the county is eligible for state grants.
