Friction Surfaces with Owner of Mobile Home Parks
The Commission of the Unified Government of Cusseta-Chattahoochee County recently heard a proposal from County Manager Thomas Weaver to make significant changes in the county's zoning rules, including mostly eliminating the need for Conditional Use Permits (CUPs) and making it, at least in most cases, much easier to move mobile homes into portions of the county where zoning allows them.
The proposal was made in the commissioner's recent work session, so there was no official vote on it (they only vote in regular or called meetings). However, they appear to be leaning in favor of the proposal, as the current CUP process has been described as cumbersome and far from perfect.
