The Flint Energies Foundation awarded $209,450 in grants to nonprofit organizations, schools, public safety agencies, and community programs throughout its 17-county service area in Middle and Southwest Georgia. The funding will support a wide range of initiatives that enhance education, public safety, workforce development, youth programs, and community enrichment.
 In Marion County, the Flint Energies Foundation awarded three organizations totaling $20,000:
  · Marion County FFA was awarded $5,000 to assist with the funds needed to complete the AG barn interior.
  · The Buena Vista Police Department was awarded $5,000 to assist with the funds needed to purchase body cameras for police officers.
