Officials pledge to work with residents; Clear up tax rate rumor
The September monthly meeting of the Schley County Commission brought a steady stream of local infrastructure updates, resident concerns, and clear-headed responses to social media rumor mills.
The most welcome surprise of the night arrived during the bidding process for road repairs. Commissioners opened the bids to resurface 6,890 feet of Candy Cane Lane. Though Robinson Paving provided the sole bid, the $185,000 price tag came as a huge relief.
