Two members of Tri-County High School's Class of 1991 have risen through the ranks to now serve as wardens for the Georgia Department of Corrections. Both of them - Timothy Sales and Gregory Sampson - were also recently promoted to oversee prisons in this region. The both began their careers as correction officers.

Georgia Department of Corrections (GDC) Commissioner Tyrone Oliver recently announced the reassignment of Timothy Sales to warden at Macon State Prison (SP), effective July 1, 2023. As warden, Sales will be responsible for overseeing staff members and approximately 1,769 male offenders.
