The Chattahoochee County High School varsity basketball team took another big step forward in its historic season last Friday. The No. 1 ranked Panthers improved to 27-1 by knocking off fellow Top 10 ranked Taylor County in the Region 6 Championship Game in front of a huge crowd in their home gym.
It was a low-scoring defensive battle won by a score of 40-32.
"It was a high intensity game," said Chattco Head Coach Sean Glenn. "The gym was at capacity, nerves were high, and both teams were playing a little tight."
While the Panthers didn't light up the scoreboard like usual, they found a way to win.
