Theiss is State Athletic Director of the Year

Schley County High School's Gabe Theiss has been named Athletic Director of the Year for Class A Division 2 by the Georgia Athletic Director's Association.
Theiss has been with Schley County Middle-High School for 22 years and is currently in his 12^th years as athletic director.
Those who know him well will not be surprised to hear that he downplays the honor and shares the credit.
"Personal awards do not mean much to me, but this one is an honor because I know it is not my award," said Theiss. "The coaches and teachers that work with our athletes on a daily basis are the true recipients of this award.
