Chatt Commission Looks at How to Deal with Hunting Camps

 A lengthy public hearing for a Conditional Use Permit (CUP) for a hunting camp came in Chattahoochee County ended without a decision, as commissioners in Chattahoochee County said they want to get more information, as well as involve the Planning & Zoning Board on specific conditions and definitions for "hunting camps".
 Jose Perez requested the CUP for the property, which consists of around 535 acres and has the address of 478 Manta Road, Cusseta. The land is currently zoned A-1.
 The property is owned by a timber company in Arkansas, which has leased hunting rights to Perez's group. They have been using the land as a hunting camp for 14 years and Mr. Perez said he was not aware previously that they were required to have a CUP to use the property in such a way.
