The Commission of the Unified Government of Cusseta-Chattahoochee County held the second of its budget hearings during a meeting on May 5.
County Manager Thomas Weaver said that with the current proposed budget figures the county's projected revenue is $5,611,000, while actual expenditures are at $5,467,226, leaving them a buffer, or contingency, of around $144,000. However, he noted that insurance costs have been increasing and they don't yet know what the total of that expense will be, so the budget may actually be much tighter.
