The Stewart County School System celebrated the Class of 2026 with a special Graduation Ceremony on Saturday, May 16.
Valedictorian Zaindelle Precious Brown said it was an honor to be giving the valedictory speech to "this most distinct class." She thanked God for allowing her the opportunity and for the strength and guidance that has brought them all to such a special moment.
She acknowledged that achieving the honor of valedictorian was one of her goals, but noted that it didn't come easy due to the academic rivalry she has shared since middle school with classmate Austin Keith, who finished as salutatorian and STAR student.
