Mayor Kevin Brown was recently standing in the parking lot of City Hall watching Police Chief Sharon Lemons finish a clipboard checklist. She checked the mayor's vehicle from front to back, outside and inside.
With a final click of a pen and an approving nod from the Chief, the city's brand-new Motorized Carts Ordinance officially transitioned from paper to pavement. Mayor Brown's red golf cart - sporting a new permit sticker - was officially street-legal.
