A Decade at Brown Springs

When Jeff Johnson stepped behind the pulpit for the first time as the new Pastor of Brown Springs Church of God in August 2016, neither he nor the congregation knew what the next decade would bring.
Ten years later, Johnson is still preaching from that same pulpit.
Brown Springs Church of God, founded in 1954, will celebrate Johnson and his family's 10 years of ministry during a special Pastor Appreciation service Aug. 23. The milestone comes after a decade that has included new ministries, established traditions, the disruption of the COVID-19 pandemic, and new ways of reaching people beyond the church's walls.
