Clay Cosmos Opens at Providence Canyon State Park

 Lumpkin, Ga. - Clay Cosmos, a "glamping" resort at the gateway to Providence Canyon State Park, is now open, giving families and travelers a reason to finally stay a few nights at Georgia's "Little Grand Canyon."
 The resort offers 12 accommodations including six canvas cabins and six handcrafted, American-made Conestoga wagons set less than a mile from the park entrance, the closest overnight stay to the park's towering 150-foot walls of pink, orange, and red clay, beneath a night sky dark enough to reveal the Milky Way to the naked eye.
 The name reflects both halves of that experience: the Clay, a nod to the canyon's dramatic eroded formations, and the Cosmos, a nod to the site's dark, low-light-pollution skies.
