Heartbreak in Wildcat Stadium
The Schley County High Wildcats faced a steep uphill battle against the Manchester Blue Devils last Friday night in Wildcat Stadium. Despite a fierce second-half rally that sent shockwaves through the home crowd, the Wildcats ultimately fell short in a 28-20 thriller.
Manchester set the tone early, striking on their very first offensive snap with a staggering 72-yard touchdown run at the 11:42 mark.
Down 7-0 immediately, Schley County looked to answer. The Wildcats converted a gutsy fourth down near midfield via a hard-nosed run from Jeremiah Johnson, but the drive stalled out on the Manchester 22-yard line.
